Feeling my age now depressing.

Postby AlisonJones » April 25th, 2012, 8:08 am

I used to be able to go away on long weekend like I just been on and drink until 4.30am 2 nights and 1,30am on the 3rd night and recover pretty much instantly, I even once started a new job on the Tuesday after getting home the Monday afternoon.

But I feel so tired now and beginning to think it was not such a good idea to stay up so late especially as Harry decided to scream for an hour between 3am and 4am for no reason.

Anyone else finding they can't do things they used to be able to do. Getting older is so depressing.

Yup I know exactly what you mean Ali.

I was at the theatre about a month ago then out for drinks afterwards, was rather merry. No hangover the following day though, just shattered. The following night hubby and I were out for a meal and more drinks. I was almost falling asleep into my chinese! I don't think it age, I think it's just what kids do to us :o

Your right about kids making everything tiring. My Mum feels really tired after 3 days of looking after Harry but she kindly going to do it a few more times for me this year.

It is nice to get a social life but it is so tiring.

Yup!

When I hit 25 the hangovers gradually got worse. Hitting 30. Pretty much put pay to regular nights out as my body wouldn't let me stay awake for them then having Eloise finished me off!

I can count on teo hands the number of glasses of wine I've has since E was born - and sadly the number of hangovers since her birth equates the same as the number of glasses of wine!

I'm 'only' 25 but have not been a big drinker since my Uni days 4 years ago, or been out on the tiles for a long time (well apart from with friends in Birmingham in august last year, but I was 9 weeks pregnant and not drinking so that doesn't count  ), in fact since my friends hen night in 2009! So now having a baby and going out, I can imagine I might be the same!

I had a small glass of wine a week after Jacob was born and was nearly falling asleep!

I'm 35 and never really used to be able to drink much before I got drunk even in my twenties, because I not really drunk much since becoming pregnant the amount I drunk at the weekend really affected me, especially because I mad the mistake of mixing my drinks. It was a fun weekend but struggling now as just feel so tired.

I can imagine it ages you more having more then 1 baby, especially if you have a husband as well as they act like babies normally.

I feel like going to bed and sleeping whilst Harry is at nursery but massive envelope of the forms for divorce came just as I went away on Friday and know I should be getting on with it but just got no energy.
